Two Minutes with Gabrielle Anwar of Burn Notice by Troy Rogers
USA Network's Burn Notice has enjoyed its most successful season in the ratings, elevating the Miami set spy series into the ranks of one the most popular on the cable airwaves. Now that Burn Notice is back for a second season, with Jeffrey Donovan's Michael Westin tracking hackers, thwarting bank robberies, and narrowly escaping an assassination attempt, actress Gabrielle Anwar is back in sunny Miami as Fiona to lend a hand in this season's covert ops.
With Burn Notice "burning" up the cable airwaves, we caught up with Gabrielle Anwar on a conference call where we had the chance to spend a couple of brief minutes with the lovely model/actress to get the latest goods on the secrecy of the show's second season.
THE DEADBOLT: What is the status of Fiona and Michael’s relationship? Will we ever see them as a couple again?
ANWAR: Well, that depends on how one would define couple. Are you talking in the Bill Clinton sense?
THE DEADBOLT: You know, like a traditional relationship, boyfriend - girlfriend.
ANWAR: I don’t think either of have a traditional bone in their body. So I think perhaps not in that respect.
THE DEADBOLT: I love the on-screen chemistry between Fiona and Sam and I wanted to know - what is the best part about doing scenes with Bruce Campbell?
ANWAR: The hysterical laughter that is inevitable. I think may have cracked twenty of neatly executed make-up applications on my cheeks from the amount of laughter that goes alongside working with Bruce.
THE DEADBOLT: The show features a couple of strong female roles. Now that Carla is in the fold, how does that change Fiona for you?
ANWAR: I think that Fiona is as threatened as Fiona can get. I don’t think it’s about necessarily about how attractive a particular woman is. I think it’s how much of a monopoly she might have on Michael Westin’s mind and livelihood and thinking. So I think she is threatened by Carla more so than anybody else she would be threatened by. I mean, there’s plenty of hot chicks down there, let’s face it.
i think fiona is the sexiest women alive. she is so dman hott! i love her in this t.v. show

I am such a big Michael/Fiona shipper and i thought their kiss two episodes ago was amazing so i'm holding out hope that they'll become a real couple! You could really tell how much he cared about her by the way he was looking at her... Anyway, thanks for the interview! This season has been amazing so far and i'm looking forward to more new episodes!
