Exclusive Trailer for The Fourth Kind by Troy Rogers
When it comes to aliens and sci-fi movies of the fourth kind, we love them just as much as the next geek. As well, we also like to believe that alleged visitors from other worlds are exactly like what we see in the movies. After watching the exclusive new trailer for The Fourth Kind, we're not afraid to admit that we're officially scared shitless of extra terrestrials now. Thanks to The Fourth Kind, some of us here at TheDeadbolt have even cancelled plans to head northward to Nome, Alaska.
We don't want to give anything away about the November 6 Universal release of The Fourth Kind, except to say this: The Fourth Kind doesn't feature cute little E.T.s or war-mongering aliens like Independence Day. As we've come to learn, The Fourth Kind is based on true events from 2000 that centers on a series of alien abductions in Alaska.
To learn more about The Fourth Kind, check out the official website and be sure to check back as Universal will be adding more info of the fourth kind ahead of the November 6 release date.
If you love cinematic scares, check out the official trailer below ... if you dare.
About THE FOURTH KIND:
In 1972, a scale of measurement was established for alien encounters. When a UFO is sighted, it is called an encounter of the first kind. When evidence is collected, it is known as an encounter of the second kind. When contact is made with extraterrestrials, it is the third kind. The next level, abduction, is the fourth kind. This encounter has been the most difficult to document...until now.
Structured unlike any film before it, The Fourth Kind is a provocative thriller set in modern-day Nome, Alaska, where-mysteriously since the 1960s-a disproportionate number of the population has been reported missing every year. Despite multiple FBI investigations of the region, the truth has never been discovered.
Here in this remote region, psychologist Dr. Abigail Tyler (Milla Jovovich) began videotaping sessions with traumatized patients and unwittingly discovered some of the most disturbing evidence of alien abduction ever documented.
Using never-before-seen archival footage that is integrated into the film, The Fourth Kind exposes the terrified revelations of multiple witnesses. Their accounts of being visited by alien figures all share disturbingly identical details, the validity of which is investigated throughout the film.
For someone who does believe in Aliens..and that spaceships from other worlds have been here...this movie was disappointing. I was so excited about this movie...and it was just too far out to believe....I think there is more of a chance there was something in the water in Nome then Aliens stealing people

Subject: encounters thru hypnosis?
well...i think this is how it works...the thing with hypnosis is, you have to really empty your mind, as in like stop thinking about anything...and you have to believe that you could really be hypnotized. that's when some other person's mind could access to your mind and sift thru memories or anything youre suppressing, forgetting or whatever. then there goes the alien part. thru hypnosis you would be forced to re-live thru those moments that the 'aliens' forced you to forget...and yeah, i think they kind of take advantage of youre mind--after all, you have no control with it. while youre still hypnotized they seize the control from you and then spoof! you're abducted.

Subject: Hypnagogic Hallucinations
Hypnagogic Hallucinations sounds like a good explanation with some caveats though. There are many people supposedly experiencing the same things. Your explanation suggests that everyone has different experiences. Yours was a devil in your room, whereas the characters in the movie saw little fuzzy aliens along with people being levitated through the roof. The completely lucid police officer outside the house supposedly saw the people sucked from the house as well. No one conclusion could be made without some real investigation being done. By the way, one thing that is BS in the movie is the ease of which people are hypnotized. Hypnotism rarely works on healthy moderately intelligent people. I think the directors were very creative in some of the directions taken in this movie. I did some digging though and found that there were 400+ mysterious deaths in a 36 month period in Nome as compared to approx. 50 ish per year at worse per 100000 people elsewhere. That is bad but, suicide rates tend to be higher among natives than other populations, especially where substance abuse (alcohol) is involved. The director was probably trying to draw the story in such a way as to entice belief in the paranormal. In the end though it was a good movie and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Draw your own conclusions but the easiest explanation isn't necessarily the best. My guess is rabid raccoons. LOL.

the movie was very real. maybe its true that hollywood is out for a big sell, but to be sure any legitimate news agency that reports this kind of phenomenon will lose its legitimacy because there is no 'hard evidence'
For all the reports (11 million??) of ufos it seems however that someone would have captured these things on video.its hard to find about about the truthfulness of the footage in the film, but let's give it the benefit of the doubt.
the fact that the movie studio falsified news reports unfortunately undermined the legitimacy of what would have been a more convincing effort by the makers of the film.
if you ask yourself after watching this film, what do the makers and studio have to gain from convincing people about these facts? nothing. its a selfless effort to edify the publicin an entertaining way about an issue 'real news' people won't touch.

This movie will make money and that's the point of it really, everything else is supposition. It's a scary movie that gets you hooked and talking about it just like the Blair Witch movie. The most obvious thing here is that if it was based on any real fact then why did no one actually know about this before? This basic need to believe is within us all and is filling the void that religion once occupied to keep us on a straight path. I keep an open mind with all mysteries, but if these abductions were true then these Aliens or whatever they are could have the power to stop this, after all they are smarter than we are aren't they? There needs to be a large dose of doubt when seeing a movie that plays on our basic fears real or imagined. I am sure it will be proven to be fake but before that will make some people very rich.

to the people who say its just sleep paralysis and that its non paranormal....please explain how 11 cases saw exactly the same thing?? and also i believe that its rather arrogant to believe we in a universe so uncalcuably large are the only ones in existence when if you knew that there are more planets than stars in our skies. Also like to add that to the non paranormal believers that by not excepting this , you disregard GOD...really think about it..you honestly believe that theres a great man in the sky who wrote some commandments and if you dont follow them your going to go to hell to rot burn, be ortured and suffer .....but he loves you??? ...wow he's so great but somehow can't handle money..always needs money....do you have any idea how rich the vatican are?

well kyle i agree all past religions are based on the zodiac.. which is why there are so many religions tha share the same ideology..three kings, virgin birth,, died on the cross, raised after 3 days. you guys may want to look into it. as for the sumarians..its said that a reptialian god came down from the sky and gave them knowledge,,..and they have visited us many times which is why the same stone carvings of reptilian gods are seen over the world..they are called the annunaki. now in the movie you see dr tyler having something inserted into her vagina..funny thing is ..that it is said that the annunaki would interbreed with the humans to create a hybrid race and to be used as slaves for their race.. also this so called alien refers to himself as "god" interestingly this is what the sumarians called them. Well theres some really good clues in this movie that link it to the annunaki...but hey i could be wrong , who knows. But if you really want to understand more about the movie read up on the sumerians and the annunaki. Peace guys keep an open mind .

Mork from the planet Ork saved me but he ate my daughter. Mindy loved every minute of it! Robin Williams is of the Fifth Kind. If you believe any of this alien abduction crap, you are of the Fifth Kind as well.
Fifth of Jack Daniels more like it.

this is about a disturbed lady who killed her daughter. no aliens, no devil, just a defective human beeing.
Ive seen this movie. At the very first time I watched this, I BELIEVE on it because of the original video that they include in the film-that's the one thing that made me believe this, the second one, when the people goes floating on the air and talk like their possessed by the devil. But theres not such an ALIEN include in it. People believe that theres an alien but they're all wrong. -that's just the DEVIL. the devil can do anything that makes people believe on it and scare us in our dreams and sometimes they're playing inside of our mind! Everyone has their own beliefs and I DO BELIEVE ONLY to our God "LORD JESUS CHRIST" just read the BIBLE and you will know what's going on and what will going to happen.
