New Moon Star Robert Pattinson Saw Twilight as Small

Since Twilight hype over Robert Pattinson has reached global New Moon proportions, it's hard to imagine Robert Pattinson was just another non Twilight Saga actor climbing the New Moon ranks of Hollywood and that the Twilight Saga was just another non Pattinson series of vampire books. At least that's how Robert Pattinson initially looked at the first Twilight film.
According to MTV, Twilight actor Robert Pattinson went into the Twilight Saga world oblivious to the Twilight size the Stephenie Meyer penned series would become. Pattinson recently revealed in a Twilight and New Moon interview with Another Man magazine that he treated Twilight as just another audition, thinking Twilight would be a small movie. Also, Robert Pattinson elaborated on how his small thoughts about Twilight was partly due to how Pattinson couldn't find the Twilight novel in London.
"It's strange," pattinson revealed, "because even though the figures show that the books were successful and sold millions of copies, you couldn't even buy them in London. I tried a couple of bookshops and they weren't available. Hardly anyone I knew had read them apart from one girl, a friend of my sister. I had no idea at all." But how about his Twilight Saga co-star? Did Robert Pattinson know her work before their Twilight pairing on what he perceived as being a small Twilight movie? "I'd seen Kristen Stewart in 'Into the Wild' and some of the director's other films," said Pattinson, "and that's all I thought it was, something really small. I don't think even the production company had any idea the extent of the success they had on their hands until the weekend of its release."
The Twilight rest is New Moon history. However, the Twilight downside for Robert Pattinson is that with newfound Twilight fame, Pattinson has become what he tried to Twilight avoid from the New Moon beginning. As Robert Pattinson told Another Man, the Twilight Saga has allowed him to write his own Twilight ticket in the film industry in terms of a selection of non Twilight and New Moon roles. Interestingly, Robert pattinson has a different Twilight take on acting after reaching the heights of Twilight Saga fame. "Annoyingly, there are so few parts I feel I can add anything to, or that I want to do," Pattinson added. "[Acting is] the hardest thing I've ever done in my life."
