'Community' Throws Day of the Dead Party for Halloween by Troy Rogers
As the networks roll out their Halloween themed episodes, NBC is giving viewers new treats on Community, which follows the NBC animated special, Monsters vs Aliens: Mutant Pumpkins from Outer Space with Seth Rogen. The October 29 pre-Halloween episode of Community follows Annie (Alison Brie) who throws a Day of the Dead party where the Community gang rises to the task of dressing up for Halloween, with Abed (Danny Pudi) turning up as Batman and Troy (Donald Glover) arriving as Eddie Murphy. In the episode, Jeff (Joel McHale) has the hots for his statistics professor and is determined to take her out on a date. He finds the perfect opportunity to pursue her but it happens to interfere with a Day of the Dead party Annie (Alison Brie) is throwing for their Spanish class. Meanwhile, Pierce (Chevy Chase) comes to terms with being old. Ken Jeong, Gillian Jacobs, Yvette Nicole Brown, Danny Pudi and Donald Glover also star.
