Kristen Stewart Addresses 'Ridiculous' Pattinson Romance Rumors by Larson Hill
While in L.A. to promote the Twilight Saga sequel New Moon, Twilight star Kristen Stewart responded to questions about how she has evolved as a Twilight Saga actress playing Bella Swan and how Kristen Stewart handles the constant Twilight romance rumors surrounding co-star Robert Pattinson.
It was a big New Moon day in Los Angeles on Friday as both Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were on hand to promote New Moon where the Twilight topic of an alleged romance between Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson was addressed by Kristen Stewart during the New Moon junket press conference. Regarding all of the Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart rumors, Stewart revealed that they're all like a sudsy romantic saga of their own. "It's so obviously false to me," stated Stewart, "that even before I became a part of it, once I was a part of that ... its like a ridiculous show, like a soap opera."
Aside from the Pattinson - Stewart romance questions, Kristen Stewart also admitted how she feels more comfortable as an actress and talking to the press about the Twilight Saga and New Moon. Kristen Stewart revealed to New Moon journalists that she's "a lot more comfortable about talking about myself and knowing that what you say, people are really going to take into consideration. That always intimidated me so much." As for the Twilight Saga and her work on Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse, Stewart admitted she used to mince words when talking about the Twilight job.

minnesota, you are falling for all the soundbytes you are hearing about the girl, and soundbytes are rarely accurate. She didn't say she was worried about being angelina the person, but she was not interested in that sort of level of game and celebrity angelina has been saddled with. It's so silly that people don't realize that all these random "quotes" that are attributed to kristen are made up or taken out of context half the time. And guess what, for a "nobody again," if being a nobody actress means you work alongside sean penn and jodie foster and robert deniro, than I want to be nobody myself!

i'm 27 and i have no idea who these two actors are except for when i see headlines in the list of recent news. seriously, who are these two actors? besides the twilight movies (which i haven't seen, gag me) i have never heard of either of them. are they really that famous? i don't think anyone besides 12-15 year olds actually care what the two actors do or don't do. everybody who is 16 and up has life.
if you want to know real news, there are bombings all over the middle esat and some dude just shot up a military base in texas.

Funny that you have no idea who these two actors are but you felt the need to comment on an article about them? I'm sure we're all aware of the various injustices and violent activities going on around the world, especially two as obvious as those you pointed out, but that doesn't mean that we can't enjoy a bit of entertainment through feature films. Nor does it mean that we can't have actors or actresses that we respect as performers and seemingly honest and genuine people.
While we're talking about world events and all, I think it bears addressing that the paparazzi driven culture is not only disgustingly shallow and voyeuristic, turning everyday couch potatoes into seething fame worshippers, but it's also a driving force that puts reluctant celebrities, people just trying to work within the parameters of their passion, their art, into dangerous and sometimes deadly situations.
Take the death of Princess Diana from a car crash while fleeing photographers or George Clooney wrecking his bike and injuring himself and his passenger in a similar situation for example, if you will. Those two specific cases aside, imagine the amount of space and traffic issues caused in a major city like LA when there are literally hundreds, if not thousands, of these hounds running around chasing "celebrities" to see who they're buying groceries or hanging out at the bar with.
It's ridiculous and insulting.
While I, and most thinking people, recognize that a certain category of "celebrity", notably "celebutantes", like the Kardashians and "Paris Lohans" and Hills people, actually seek this type of attention, these few are not the norm. Especially since they all tend to fall into the same category that happens to be famous for NO APPARENT REASON other than their rich and connected ride into this world.
I think it goes without saying that to dismiss something like the total invasion of a person's life simply because of their profession is worthy of attention and cause to objection. I suppose that maybe, if you disagree, you should limit your comments to postings about topics you have some sort of actual, pertinent opinion on instead of posting rants about things that you "supposedly" know nothing about and have never heard of...like Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson and their continual harassment by paparazzi.
Ya know what? That's just really harsh. Regardless of alleged "perks" related to her publicity, I think it's pretty unfair to expect a person to just "man up" about the kind of total intrusion that comes from celebrity these days. It's one thing to go on a legitimate press junket and receive attention. It's totally different to have dozens of camera wielding psychos following you around day and night trying to get their "money shot". I thing any nineteen year old in their right mind would feel invaded in that situation. Our society's perception that actesses and actors are public property is just sick. They do a job just like any one of us. Theirs just happens to be entertaining the masses. If you work at Starbucks, should you be expected to make coffee for random people on the street when you clock out? Hell no. Why should it be any different for people in the movie business?
And as for whether or not she'll be a "nobody" again in two years when the whole Twilight hype has died down...Ms. Stewart's body of work speaks for itself. Small parts, interesting characters, quiet and often touching films. Is everything she's ever done fantastic and awe-inspiring? No. But she has done a good job of choosing genuine, out of the ordinary roles. So good for her. And as far as being a "nobody" again...I'm sure she'd be more than happy with resuming that title.

kristen Stewart keeps claiming she hates the publicity she getting. She keeps forgetting that the perks she is enjoying are because of the publicity. She doesn't have to worry about being angelina jolie because she'll never be at the level of an oscar worthy actress. Kristen should be enjoying the fame because in another two years when the twilight phenomina is over she'll be a nobody again.
