NCIS Beats V in Tuesday Night Ratings Battle

Who would've thought that criminal investigations in the Navy would be more poplar than the alien Visitors now living on Earth? According to the latest Nielsen numbers, that's exactly how things turned out with viewers, as the CBS series NCIS topped the second episode of V with viewers 18-49. Proving that TV viewers still love to solve crime puzzles, the new NCIS: Los Angeles also won its time slot for Tuesday with an increase of 900,000 viewers. Also the fans flocked to The Good Wife, which won its time slot for the night.
When the Tuesday night numbers were tabulated, CBS retained its ratings hold on Tuesday nights with another victory in successive weeks this fall season.
Here's a look at the official CBS Nielsen numbers:
CBS captured Tuesday in all key measures led by NCIS, television's number one program, which topped the second episode of "V" in viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 18-34, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Nov. 10.
NCIS won its time slot in households (12.3/19), viewers (20.20m), adults 25-54 (5.8/14), adults 18-49 (4.2/11) and adults 18-34 (3.0/09). CBS won this time period for the eighth consecutive week in households and viewers, seventh time in eight weeks in adults 25-54 and sixth time in eight weeks in adults 18-49. Every first-run episode of NCIS has delivered more than 20 million viewers this season.
NCIS: LOS ANGELES won its time slot in households (10.0/15), viewers (16.19m), adults 25-54 (5.0/12) and was second in adults 18-49 (3.7/09). First run episodes of NCIS: LOS ANGELES were first in its time slot every week this season in households, viewers and adults 25-54. Compared to last week, NCIS: LOS ANGELES was up +3% in both households (from 9.7/15) and adults 18-49 (from 3.6/09), +2% in adults 25-54 (from 4.9/11) and added +900,000 viewers (from 15.29m, +6%).
THE GOOD WIFE was first in households (8.6/15), viewers (12.89m), adults 25-54 (3.8/10) and adults 18-49 (2.7/07). CBS was first in this time period for the eighth consecutive week in households and viewers, first for the seventh time in eight weeks in adults 25-54 and first in adults 18-49 for the sixth time in eight weeks.
For the night, CBS was first in households (10.3/16), viewers (16.43m), adults 25-54 (4.9/12) and adults 18-49 (3.5/09). CBS won Tuesday every week this season in households and viewers, seven times in eight weeks in adults 25-54 and six times in eight weeks in adults 18-49.
