New Moon Actor Taylor Lautner Gets Twilight Doll Treatment by Larson Hill
First it was Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart to get the Twilight doll treatment, now it's Taylor Lautner's turn to become a Twilight Saga doll thanks to Mattel. Ever since the release of Twilight almost one year before New Moon, the Twilight Saga has been a merchandising paradise, spawning everything from Twilight clothing and candy to New Moon games, makeup and dolls. Now we have a New Moon Taylor Lautner doll to add to the Twilight collection. However, although New Moon hits theaters on November 20, the Taylor Lautner Doll won't be available until February 2010.
According to People, New Moon actor Taylor Lautner now has his very own Twilight Saga Barbie type doll in the image of Jacob Black. Unlike some Twilight figures, the Taylor Lautner doll is a fairly accurate image of Lautner as Jacob Black, although the new Taylor doll is a simple representation of Jacob. The new Taylor Lautner doll features the short hair of Jacob Black with trademark Quileute tribal tattoo in cut-off shorts.
Although the Taylor Lautner doll will miss the Christmas rush, Twilight and New Moon fans will be able to pick up the doll ahead of Eclipse. When released, the Taylor Lautner doll of Jacob Black will retail for $24.95.
Hopefully the new Taylor Lautner, Jacob Black doll can transform into a wolf to save Twilight Saga fans another $25.
