The Early Twilight Good and Bad of New Moon
by Larson Hill

With the hype surrounding the Twilight sequel New Moon reaching a fever pitch as Twilighers prepare to see Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner on the big screen, many fans of New Moon are confident that the sequel to the 2008 Twilight will surpass the success of the first Twilight Saga film. Although some online reviews of New Moon indicate the New Noon werewolves are an amazing Twilight addition, reviewers also reveal the wolves don't do enough to elevate New Moon from mediocre to great.

According to USA Today, New Moon does contain more action than Twilight due to the New Moon wolf pack but isn't an active movie. For the Twilight Saga fans at USA Today, the problems within New Moon center around the romantic scenes of Bella Swan [Kristen Stewart] and Edward Cullen [Robert Pattinson], which the outlet describes as morose and drag New Moon down.

However, the review of New Moon reveals that Taylor Lautner (as Jacob Black) steals the show. Interestingly, USA Today reveals that when Edward Cullen [Pattinson] enters scenes in slo-mo, the appearance of Edward resulted in laughter from the audience whereas the entry of Taylor Lautner as New Moon werewolf Jacob Black was positive among the female Twilighters in the audience, mainly due to the incredible New Moon body of Lautner.

Overall, USA Today reveals that the New Moon werewolf action is great, but the Twilight Saga romance between Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson only serves as a New Moon downer.
