Three New NBC Clips for the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics by Nadya Vlassoff
The
2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver are only three
months away and the excitement is heating up on NBC
as some of the winter Olympics’ biggest names
hit the Olympic promo circuit. NBC caught up with
Olympic gold medalists Shaun White, Apolo Anton
Ohno, and world champion Linsey Vonn for a series
of 2010 Vancouver videos in which three of the
biggest stars on the American Winter Olympic Team
share first-hand accounts on exactly what it takes
to become an Olympic athlete.
Think doing a switch backside seven on a half-pipe is hard? How about racing down a high-speed course on some of the world’s toughest ski slopes to take the World Championship Super G gold medal? Perhaps whipping around a speed skating oval is more your (no pun intended) speed, with your face practically touching the ice below. Either way, Shaun White, Apolo Anton Ohno, and Linsey Vonn are three of America’s best chances for gold medals at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics.
Check out the exclusive clips below to learn just how tough training for the
Olympics can be and why Shaun White, Apolo Anton
Ohno, and Linsey Vonn work so hard to stand
atop a podium on one of the world’s grandest
sports stages as they strive for gold in 2010
at the Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
