Twilight Attention Shifts to Breaking Dawn Post New Moon by Larson Hill
Now that New Moon is breaking box office records, Twilight fans are looking beyond Eclipse to Breaking Dawn. With Twilight and New Moon already in theater history and the Twilight Saga Eclipse set for 2010, Twilight Saga attention is quickly shifting to Breaking Dawn. The major Twilight question surrounding Breaking Dawn is over which director will helm the final Twilight Saga film.
Although New Moon is finally here and we anxiously await Twilight Saga Eclipse in June 2010, Breaking Dawn is still up in the air, as was reported months ago.
MTV questioned some of the Twilight Saga cast to get their thoughts on Breaking Dawn during the New York premiere of New Moon. Last week, Twilight Saga cast members revealed their hopes for Breaking Dawn. Peter Facinellli and Robert Pattinson are on the same page with hopes to see Gus van Sant in the director's chair. At the same time, Nikki Reed and Ashley Greene don't have a problem with Breaking Dawn getting cut into two films, even though there hasn't been any confirmation or hint that Breaking Dawn will be split. In relation to Breaking Dawn, Reed admitted, "It doesn't matter to me ... if they think that's what's best for the book, and if they don't think they can make it in one, then great," Adding. "But I don't even know if they're making it."
How about bringing back a previous Twilight Saga director for Breaking Dawn? That's what Kellan Lutz was thinking when he suggested Chris Weitz return for Breaking Dawn. "Out of the three, I'd love to see Chris Weitz come back," Lutz said. "I just had so much fun shooting with him. "
As for what started the Breaking Dawn rumor about the final Twilight Saga being split into two parts, Twilight and New Moon author Stephenie Meyer revealed on her website some time ago, "If Breaking Dawn were ever made into a movie, it's hard to imagine it fitting into ninety minutes." Meyer went on to add, "The book is just so long! I can't imagine how to distill it - if I could, the book would be shorter. But maybe a screenwriter can see a way to do it and still cover the crucial plot points."
Go back and read that quote again. Nothing in that quote confirms Breaking Dawn IS or WILL be broken into two parts.
I'm a big fan of the books but I was not completly happy with New Moon and felt it could have been done better. And many critics agree. Let's wait and see what the director for Eclipse is able to do before we give it to Weitz.
um...hi i love breaking dawn...well i actually love all the books!!! lol ima really a big fan of you all

I think it would make two awesome movies,,one of the wedding and honeymoon,,ending with the birth of Renesmee, and the other picking up from her birth, and ending with the big event with the Volturi,,,,,I love Stephenie Meyers Twilight Series,,she is an awesome writer and what she has done with these books is phenomenel,,,I have read each one twice,,and going for a third,,and own Twlight,,and have seen New Moon twice now,,and will buy it upon it's release,,,I can't wait to see Eclispie, and how they develope each character on the screen,,and as for men watching it,,that has changed,,my son who is 20,has read the books multiple times, and saw both movies,,and he loves them, and he is correctional officer,,stands 6 foot, 280 lbs,,and I dare anyone to call him a sissy,,Keep up the great work Stephenie,,
