Taylor Swift Makes Donation to Children in Need
by Troy Rogers
Although Taylor Swift swept both the CMA and AMA ceremonies, Swift knows success is also about giving back, which is exactly what Taylor Swift did the night of her AMA sweep while on tour in London. The London stop for Taylor Swift wasn't focused solely on the Swift concert at Wembley, as Swift was also in town to take part in a benefit show for British children.
After Taylor Swift gave satellite thanks to fans for her AMA honors, Swift made her way to the BBC's Children In Need fundraiser to lend a hand to disadvantaged kids in the U.K. where Taylor Swift performed "Love Story". After her time on the BBC show, Taylor then turned around and made a swift donation to the cause of $20,800.
The BBC's Children In Need fundraiser also saw Paul McCartney and U.K. boy band Take That lend a hand.
The next stop on the Fearless Tour for Taylor Swift is Brisbane, Australia, which picks up in the new year on February 4, 2010 and continues until February 12 before Taylor Swift heads back to the U.S. to end the tour on June 5.
