A New Invasion of Avatar Photos
by Reg Seeton

While the buzz for the December 13 release of Avatar and the long awaited return of director James Cameron ramps up, 20th Century Fox has released a slew of new Avatar images to give Avatar fans a broader pictorial look at the visually stunning WETA, ILM and Cameron collaboration. The latest Avatar photos show actors Sigourney Weaver, Giovanni Ribisi, Zoë Saldana, Sam Worthington, Michelle Rodriguez, Stephen Lang, Laz Alonso, and Joel David Moore in a variety of Avatar sequences.

Showcasing the innovative visual style of Avatar created by both WETA Digital and ILM, the new Avatar photos feature Neytiri (Zoë Saldana) teaching Jake (Sam Worthington) the skills needed to survive on Pandora, Scientist Grace Augustine (Sigourney Weaver) and human base supervisor Selfridge (Giovanni Ribisi), a shot of Jake as he prepares for Na'vi ritual, as rival Na'vi warrior, Tsu'tey (Laz Alonso), looks on, an Avatar image of human forces on Pandora as they unleash firepower in an epic battle against the indigenous Na'vi, Michelle Rodriguez as chopper pilot Trudy Chacon as she helps the Na'vi in their battle against the forces determined to destroy Pandora, and more. The Avatar photos also show live action shots from the Avatar set and the actors working with James Cameron.

Avatar - December 13

AVATAR takes us to a spectacular world beyond imagination, where a reluctant hero embarks on an epic adventure, ultimately fighting to save the alien world he has learned to call home. James Cameron, the Oscar-winning director of "Titanic," first conceived the film 15 years ago, when the means to realize his vision did not exist yet. Now, after four years of production, AVATAR, a live action film with a new generation of special effects, delivers a fully immersive cinematic experience of a new kind, where the revolutionary technology invented to make the film disappears into the emotion of the characters and the sweep of the story.
