New Moon Actor Kellan Lutz Confirms Conan Consideration
by Larson Hill

After years spent in development burnout, the remake of Conan the Barbarian is finally back. Now, after Conan rumors this week about Twilight and New Moon actor Kellan Lutz playing Conan, Lutz himself has confirmed that he is indeed up for the lead role in Conan The Barbarian. Although New Moon actor Kellan Lutz is up for the role of Conan the Barbarian, Arnold Scwarzenegger stepped into the role of Conan in 1982 for the John Milius directed Conan The Barbarian, but Kellan Lutz has been short-listed to fill the Conan the Barbarian shoes left behind by Arnold.

According to E-Online, Kellan Lutz came out this week to confirm the news of Conan the Barbarian, which is slated to start production in March and could include Twilight Saga actor Kellan Lutz.

Although the new Conan has director Marcus Nispel at the helm, the role of Conan still hasn't been solidified amid Kellan Lutz . The Conan - Lutz news comes as two more actors being looked at with Kella Lutz, Jason Momoa of Stargate Atlantis and an actor that hasn't been named.

So what do you think, does Kellan Lutz make a good Conan the Barbarian?

Subject: Okay, sure.

I can kind of see Lutz as Conan. Haven't seen New Moon, and barely remember Twilight, but physically I think he might have what it takes; Vallejo's Conan was always portrayed a bit leaner than the bulky, hulking barbarian of the Frazetta paintings used to cast Arnie, and Howard's stories portray his hero as nimble, quick, and agile. It's hard to imagine Arnold's Conan scaling the walls of a wizard's tower by his fingertips, but I could see this Lutz guy doing it. Tan him up, add a few scars and I guess a decent wig, and he might just pull it off.
