Taylor Lautner is the New Stretch Armstrong by Troy Rogers
Although most fans of Twilight, New Moon, and actor Taylor Lautner see Lautner as Twilight Saga werewolf Jacob Black, soon Twilight Saga fans will see Taylor Lautner as Stretch Armstrong in the Universal movie based on the popular '80s doll, Stretch Armstrong.
According to Hollywood Reporter, Taylor Lautner of The Twilight Saga has been cast as Stretch Armstrong in a new Universal Pictures film, based on the popular 80's toy from Hasbro. The new Taylor Lautner toplined Stretch Armstrong will center around Lautner as an uptight spy who discovers a stretching formula and incorporates it into his daily life.
Although most Twilight Saga fans of Taylor Lautner may not be familiar with Stretch Armstrong, the upcoming Universal pic should reignite toy sales of the famous Stretch Armstrong doll. With regard to the rising star of Taylor Lautner, Universal co-chair, Donna Langley, revealed, "In the past two years, Taylor has emerged as a real star at the global boxoffice. He brings the perfect balance of energy and athleticism to the role of an unlikely super hero with a fantastic super power."
Fans can expect to see Taylor Lautner on the big screen in 2012 when Stretch Armstrong hits theaters.
