Beverly Hills 90210 star Tori Spelling and her Mind Over Murder
co-star Dean McDermott were married today in a small
ceremony in Fiji, according to People.
The couple met in Ottawa while filming Mind Over
Murder. At the time, Tori Spelling, 32, was married
to actor-writer Charlie Shanian, though, according to
Reuters,
Shanian filed for divorce just 15 months after they
were married in a lavish ceremony at the Beverly Hills
home of her father, TV producer Aaron Spelling.
McDermott had filed for divorce last fall, from his
wife of 12 years, Canadian TV personality, Mary Jo Eustace.
ABC
News ran a quote from Dean McDermott,
in which he said "I've never had as much of a desire
to get married and make a woman my wife as I've had
with her. The feeling is overwhelming. We're soul mates."
People
quoted Tori Spelling as saying "We didn't want to
wait another day to get married."
In September, Tori Spelling made her split from Charlie
Shanian public, announcing he had filed for divorce.
The divorce was finalized last month. After meeting
on the set of Mind Over Murder, McDermott, 39,
proposed to Spelling on New Years Eve while the couple
was together in Toronto. CBS
News reports that "The non-denominational
ceremony was attended only by the bride and groom, who
were both barefoot and wearing white."
Tori Spelling, daughter of ABC's famed television producer
Aaron Spelling, got her start in the industry with the
help of her father. She appeared in shows such as The
Love Boat, T.J. Hooker and Saved By the
Bell, before landing her most high profile role
as Donna Martin on Beverly Hills 90210. Since
then, Spelling has been doing independent movies as
well as mainstream ones, appearing in Scream
and Scream 2. Spelling currently has her own
VH1 celebreality sitcom called So NoTORIous.
