The front man of Guns N' Roses, Axl Rose, has finally confirmed what fans have been waiting over 13 years to hear, the fabled G N'R album, Chinese Democracy, will be done by the fall.

According to NME.com, the singer did in fact confirm that the long awaited Guns N' Roses album, Chinese Democracy would be out later this year. In a quote from Axl's recent talk on a New York radio show presented by Eddie Trunk and co-hosted by former Skid Row lead singer, Sebastion Bach, Axl said, "Sometime this fall or late fall. It will be out this year."

Fans are still curious as to why the North American leg of their 2002 Tour, which included 16 shows, fell apart halfway through in December of 2002 when Axl did not appear for shows in Vancouver (first show of the tour) and Philadelphia, resulting in riots. An hour after his call from Sebastion, Axl appeared in person at the radio station and, in an exerpt posted on Soundgenerator, Eddie Trunk asked him if he could explain why that particular tour rapidly fell apart, to which Rose responded, "Umm, no, not exactly" with no further comment.

Aside from the welcome news that Chinese Democracy is actually coming, fans can also look forward to a possible tour, beginning on May 12 with four nights at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom. In an article on iAfrica Axl reportedly said that the band is virtually unchanged from the 2002 line-up, and the lead guitar replacement wasn't a former member of the band as various rumors hinted at. Formed in 1985, Guns N' Roses shot to stardom with the release of their debut album Appetite for Destruction in 1987, which produced such hit songs as Welcome to the Jungle, Paradise City, and Sweet Child O' Mine. It wasn't until 1991 that Guns N' Roses became legendary rock gods with the release of the multi-platinum double album Use Your Illusion 1 and Use Your Illusion II, which featured such hits as November Rain, Don't Cry, Live and Let Die, Civil War, You Could Be Mine, and the unforgettable cover Knocking on Heaven's Door, written by folk legend Bob Dylan. After a heated public break up in 1993 at the end of their historic 28 month Use Your Illusion Tour, Guns N' Roses parted ways for good. Slash went on to form the short lived band Slash's Snakepit, while Axl Rose fell into relative obscurity and seclusion, appearing every so often with new incarnations of the band.
