Britney Spears and Kevin Federline's Rocky Relationship
By Doug Pendrell
Friday, June 2, 2006
It seems that every time Britney Spears' name makes it in the news, it's either for alleged bad parenting of Sean Preston Federline, or it's to do with her troubled marriage to rapper wannabe Kevin Federline. This time, it's the latter.
Britney Spears made headlines last week when she wrote
a poem entitled "Remembrance of Who I Am", which was
featured on her official website.
The poem appeared to be a scathing attack at her husband,
Kevin Federline. At first, the poem disappeared off
the website hours after its post. Now, it's back on
the website, with a picture at the bottom, showing Britney
Spears giving the middle finger, preceded by the words
"This is for everyone who thinks they know me…"
To add fuel to the fire about the couple's rocky marriage,
the National
Ledger reports that Star Magazine
is about to drop another bomb. "Britney Spears is
sitting down with her divorce lawyers and preparing
for life without Kevin Federline, Star Magazine will
report this week. The former pop star is reportedly
no longer even on speaking terms with her husband and
the two communicate through their body guards."
The issue will reportedly say that "her marriage
really fell apart on Mother's Day, her first as a mom,
when Kevin chose to spend the occasion with Shar Jackson,
the mother of this other two children."
None of this seems to have an impact on Kevin Federline.
The Daily
Mirror has reported that K-Fed has been
telling his friends, "Don't worry, she ain't got
the balls to leave me." As well as that, Federline
apparently also told his mates, "She doesn't have
the guts to leave me, she's been threatening to divorce
me since the honeymoon."
Despite all the rumors, Kevin Federline was still willing
to talk to the press about his family. Tonight
quoted US Weekly's interview with Federline,
where he said "My kids are going to have to learn
what a real job is, what life is. You don't have it
easy with me. Period. My kids are going to work at Taco
Bell, dammit." After the family life comment, Federline
went right back into his own life, saying "I wish
people would ask me about my career. Usually its, 'How's
the wife and kids? The day they judge me as an artist,
not Britney Spears' husband, that's the day I am looking
forward to."
That day might be getting closer, as the National
Ledger claims that "Britney Spears
was spotted out and about Wednesday in Malibu. But this
time, the songstress had company -- and it wasn't Kevin
Federline!" There are very few details about the
man in question, reported by the press as "Henry". Only
time will tell.
Britney Spears and Kevin Federline were married on
September 18th, 2004. They had their first child together,
Sean Preston Federline, on September 14th, 2005. On
May 10th, 2006, Spears confirmed her second pregnancy
