Britney Spears Does It Again: Puts Baby in Front Seat of Car
By Doug Pendrell
Tuesday, June 13, 2006
Only a day after a quote from an emotional interview
with NBC's Matt Lauer surfaced on the Internet, which
have Britney pleading that she's a "good mom," photographs
have appeared, showing the pop princess putting her
baby, Sean Preston Federline, into the front seat of
her SUV. The pictures come hot on the heels of her tell-all
interview, to be aired Thursday on the Today Show (7a.m.)
and again on Dateline NBC (9p.m.)
X17Online.com
posted pictures that show Britney Spears and manny,
Perry Taylor getting into her Cadillac Escalade,
with Sean Preston Federline in her arms, and not in
a proper child seat in the back of the SUV. The photos,
however, don't show the vehicle drive away, and it's
unknown if Britney did, in fact, put the baby in the
backseat.
These photos come hot on the heels of an interview
done with Matt Lauer over the weekend. During the interview,
MSNBC
quoted Spears addressing the incident earlier in the
year where she was photographed driving with baby Sean
Preston Federline in her lap, and not in a baby seat.
"I can't go anywhere without someone judging me...I
did it with my dad. I'd sit on his lap and I drive.
We're country." More than that, Britney would take
exception to the public opinion that she isn't a good
mother, saying "I know I'm a good mom."
To the paparazzi themselves, Britney told them, as
individuals, "You have a life. And if you don't,
you have to realize that we're people and that we...
just need privacy and we need our respect. And those
are things that you have to have as a human being,".according
to CBS
News.
These photos and this interview also come right after
TMZ.com
photographed Britney Spears and Kevin Federline together
for the first time since March 25th. Since they hadn't
been seen together for four months, speculation began
to arise if the couple were getting
ready to divorce. Britney Spears addressed
the speculation in her interview with Matt Lauer, where
The
Chicago Tribune quoted her as saying
her marriage was "awesome", though she called
herself "an emotional wreck right now". Spears
went on to say to fans that might be hoping for the
demise of her marriage, "that's sad", because
"I think everybody should be pro-love."
Britney Spears and Kevin Federline were married on
September 18th, 2004. They had their first child together,
Sean Preston Federline, on September 14th, 2005. On
May 10th, 2006, Spears confirmed
her second pregnancy on the Late Show
with David Letterman last month. Britney Spears
is the best-selling female artist of the 2000s, having
sold 85 million albums. Her first two albums Baby,
One More Time and Oops! I Did It Again were
both diamond-selling albums, meaning they sold more
than 10 million copies in the United States. Britney's
albums include Baby, One More Time, Oops!
I Did It Again, Britney, In The Zone,
Greatest Hits: My Prerogative and has appeared
in movies such as The New Mickey Mouse Club,
Crossroads and In The Pink. Britney is
also expected to release a new album in November 2006,
with a world tour tentatively scheduled for 2007. As
for her rapper wannabe husband, Kevin Federline, he
is expected
to release his album, Playing With Fire,
in August.
