After all of the press that Britney Spears and Kevin Federline have been receiving lately, there's finally a silver lining for the young couple as Kevin has signed on to represent the clothing line, Five Star Vintage.

For a guy that the press portrays as being lazy and simply feeding off of the celebrity of his wife, Kevin Federline is one of the busiest slackers in recent memory. In March of 2006, Kevin Federline was hard at work on his debut rap album, Playing With Fire, then just a couple of days ago Federline announced interest in creating a biopic of his life in the same vain as Eminem and 8 Mile. Now, on the heels of Britney Spears' emotional interview with Matt Lauer in which she defended her husband's image in the press, Kevin Federline's latest gig is modeling. According to a press release, posted on Webwire, Five Star Vintage officially announced today that they have signed Kevin Federline to be the face of their clothing brand's first advertising campaign. The campaign, which was shot in Los Angeles, is due for release in the September issue of magazines across the country. Five Star Vintage is a division of Blue Marlin Corp.

This news couldn't have come at a better time, as Britney just finished defending her husband in the media during her interview with Matt Lauer. As People reports, when asked if Kevin Federline's role with the company was permanent, a representative for the clothing company was quoted as saying, "We have to see how this first ad campaign goes." The company rep. went on to reveal that Federline has already shot the photos for the campaign, and that Federline's wife, Britney Spears, attended the shoot but will not appear in any of the pictures.

If Britney Spears thought her pleas for privacy during the Matt Lauer interview would do any good, she certainly got her answer when she and their son, Sean Preston accompanied Kevin to the photo shoot in L.A. this week. According to The New York Post, "She and Sean Preston showed up, and she told all the paparazzi how proud of Kevin she was," a source told the NY Post. As the story reveals, the popularity of Britney and Kevin in the press had an adverse affect on local air traffic at the airport, "The paparazzi went nuts there was even a helicopter - and La Brea had to be shut down."

Britney Spears and Kevin Federline were married on September 18th, 2004. They had their first child together, Sean Preston Federline, on September 14th, 2005. On May 10th, 2006, Spears confirmed her second pregnancy on the Late Show with David Letterman. Britney Spears is the best-selling female artist of the 2000s, having sold 85 million albums. Her first two albums Baby, One More Time and Oops! I Did It Again were both diamond-selling albums, meaning they sold more than 10 million copies in the United States. Britney's albums include Baby, One More Time, Oops! I Did It Again, Britney, In The Zone, Greatest Hits: My Prerogative and has appeared in movies such as The New Mickey Mouse Club, Crossroads and In The Pink. Britney is also expected to release a new album in November 2006, with a world tour tentatively scheduled for 2007. As for Kevin Federline, he is expected to release his album, Playing With Fire, in August.
