Money doesn’t always last forever. If you need proof, just ask Dustin Diamond who played the gangly and geeky ‘Screech’ on the 1980s sitcom, Saved By the Bell. It seems that Dustin Diamond has found himself in financial hot water and has resorted to selling t-shirts on his web site in an attempt to save his Milwaukee home.

E Online reports that, the former child star is broke and must come up with $250,000 to stop the bank from foreclosing on his house. It appears that Dustin Diamond appeared on The Howard Stern Show last week and told his sad story, as E Online further reveals, “ Diamond claimed to have made nearly $2 million for 10-season run on the Saturday morning show, but told Stern that his parents took all but 25 percent of his earnings, leaving him with next to nothing as well as "sh--ty credit.

How many T-shirts will Screech need to sell to save his house? When you add it all up, $250,000 is a truckload of t-shirts. According to Boston.com, Diamond will most likely have to sell about 30,000 at $15 to $20 a pop to meet his target. For those of you who are wondering what you get for your $20, Boston.com elaborates, “The T-shirt has a photo of Diamond holding a sign that says, ‘Save My House.’ The back of the shirt reads, ‘I paid $15.00 to save Screeech's house.’ The third ‘e’ was added to get around copyright laws.

Fans of Saved by the Bell, or anyone who doesn’t want to see Dustin Diamond go homeless, can help the cause by heading to www.getdshirts.com for their very own Screech T-shirt..

Dustin Diamond rose to fame after played the dorky high school character, Screech on the popular teen series Saved by the Bell. After the series ended, Diamond went on to appear in other TV shows, including It’s a Living, The Wonder Years, Star Trek: The Next Generation, and The Rerun Show. Of special note is his appearance on Fox’s short lived Celebrity Boxing, where he mercilessly pummeled an irate Ron Palillo, who played Arnold Horshack on the popular 70s television series Welcome Back Kotter. Recently, Dustin Diamond has turned his attention to stand up comedy.
