Now that the celebrity marriage between Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban in Australia is officially a done deal, the newlyweds have split Sydney for their honeymoon in Fiji.
After celebrating the biggest wedding
Australia has probably ever seen, actress Nicole Kidman
and country singer, Keith Urban left Down Under for
their South Pacific honeymoon in Fiji. As The
Show Buzz reports, "The newlyweds
kept a low-profile Monday, emerging only to have lunch
with family at a luxury waterfront hotel. The couple
was spotted boarding Kidman's private jet on Monday
evening, prompting frenzied media speculation about
where they might spend their honeymoon." While the
couple's final destination is technically still unknown,
most believe they will be spending their time in Fiji.
"Kidman and Urban have been tight-lipped about their
immediate post-wedding plans. Several reports have suggested
the pair have spent up to $183,000 to hire out Fiji's
exclusive Wakaya Club Resort for a week."
As with most celebrities, speculation as to their movements
always runs high and Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban's
honeymoon is no exception. According to The
Washington Post, Kidman and Urban may
or may not be heading to the Wakaya Club Resort in Fiji.
"The ultra-exclusive island resort is a preferred
destination for superstars seeking to avoid the prying
eyes of paparazzi and celebrity gawkers. It is also
where Rolling Stones rocker Keith
Richards injured his head after reportedly
falling out of a palm tree in April. However, Fiji was
once a favored vacation spot for Kidman and her former
husband, Tom Cruise, prompting speculation that she
and Urban will opt instead for a luxury resort on Tahiti's
Bora Bora island."
On a related topic, the man who married the couple,
Father Paul Coleman, reveals to ABC's
Good Morning America that their first
kiss as husband and wife was 'above average'. "I
wouldn't say it was the longest [kiss] in history -
I've seen some long ones - but it was not too bad,"
adding, "Above average, if you want to know the truth."
When asked how Nicole Kidman looked on her big day,
Coleman replied, "She sort of had a radiant glow
around her," adding further, "It took my breath
away, and it took the breath of Keith - and most of
us - away."
The couple first met in early 2005 at an awards dinner
in L.A. honoring the actress and singer, hosted by the
Australian Government.
