Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock to Wed
By Scott Ferguson
Tuesday, July 18, 2006
Maybe the second time is the charm. Tuesday morning, a
representative for Pamela Anderson confirmed to MTV.com that she is engaged
to rocker Kid Rock, again. Earlier, former Playboy playmate and
Baywatch star, Pamela Anderson had posted the following on her web site,
"Yes, I'm finally getting remarried. It's been a whirlwind ...
spontaneous, but well thought through. Feels like I've been stuck in a time
warp. I've raised my kids alone in hope of a miracle. Well, my miracle
came and went. And came back and came back, because he knew that I'd
wake up one day and realize that I was waiting for nothing. I'm moving on
... I feel like I'm finally free ... I'm in love."
This isn't the first time that Kid Rock and Pamela
Anderson have announced their happy engagement. In 2002,
after a year of dating, Robert Ritchie aka Kid Rock
asked for Pamela Anderson's hand in marriage. A year
later, the couple split up and have been dating on and
off since then. There will be no time for cold feet
during this engagement as MTV reports that Kid
Rock and Pamela Anderson plan to we aboard a yacht in
Saint Tropez as early as next weekend, Saturday, July
29th. The couple is vacationing there now.
This is far from Pamela Anderson's first flirtation
with wedding bells, although it is Kid Rock's first
marriage. Pamela Anderson married Tommy Lee on February
19, 1995 after knowing him for only four days. They
had two sons and were divorced three years later, in
1998, although were rumored to be on again, off again
for years after that. Between Tommy Lee and Kid Rock,
Pamela Anderson was engaged to model Marcus Schenkenberg,
but that couple never took the wedding plunge. Pamela
Anderson wrote in her online diary about how her sons
with Tommy Lee, Brandon and Dylan, are taking the whole
thing, "I've raised my kids alone in hope of a miracle.
Well my miracle came and went. And came back and came
back because he knew that I'd wake up one day and realize
that I was waiting for nothing. They know the truth
and they are strong, smart kids. They love their dad.
They love their new Step Dad who they've known for years.
Wounds will heal. Some people may never grow up. Actions
speak louder than words ... watch!"
Pamela Anderson's representative confirmed the engagement
to Us Weekly and the story will be featured in
the new issue, hitting stands Wednesday. Us Weekly
reports the representative for Pamela Anderson as saying
"They've been close for a very long time and decided
that now is the right time to take the next step. They
couldn't be happier about their future together."
No word on if Pamela Anderson will now be known as
Pamela Rock.
