Colin Farrell Disrupted on Tonight Show

Some days it can be hard to be Colin Farrell. In a bizarre, somewhat scary turn of events, a fan of Colin Farrell's jumped out of The Tonight Show's audience and approached the actor, who was in the middle of taping a segment with Jay Leno. According to local media, as reported by E Online, the woman who approached Colin Farrell was Dessarae Bradford, a former sex-line operator who claimed that Colin Farrell was stalking her via text messages and phone calls and actually sued the actor last April for $5,000. The suit against Colin Farrell didn't work out for Dessarae Bradford and there she was on Thursday at The Tonight Show ready to cause some trouble. As reported by E Online, "Bradford entered the NBC studios as part of the Tonight Show audience and walked on stage in the middle of Farrell's interview. Audience members seemed to think the intrusion was part of a skit, until Bradford approached and started speaking to Farrell."

Molly Mattaini, an audience member during the Colin Farrell - The Tonight Show incident told The Associated Press, "She said something to Colin Farrell that no one heard, then he took her by the elbow, led her off stage, asked the cameramen to turn off their cameras and asked for security."

The story gets weirder. Apparently, Dessarae Bradford has published a book about how much Colin Farrell is obsessed with her called Colin Farrell: A Dark Twisted Puppy and she left a copy on Jay Leno's desk. As Dessarae Bradford was being escorted away by security she shouted to Colin Farrell, "I'll see you in court", to which Colin Farrell responded with the only logical answer - "You're insane."

Molly Mattaini, the eyewitness to the Colin Farrell incident was quoted in The Sun as saying, "A lot of producers and crew members came on stage and were trying to figure out what to do. There was quite a long pause, people were recovering from what happened and after a while, they began reshooting and picked up where they had left off."

NBC could have had Dessarae Bradford arrested but decided not to press charges. They did make sure she wouldn't be allowed back on NBC Studios lot. Not a bad idea. None of the incident made the air on Thursday night's edition of The Tonight Show featuring a calm, collected Colin Farrell.

Colin Farrell was on The Tonight Show promoting next week's opening of Miami Vice co-starring Jamie Foxx and directed by Michael Mann. The thirty year-old actor has seen his star rise this decade, breaking through in 2000's Tigerland and going on to star in Minority Report, The Recruit, Daredevil, S.W.A.T., Alexander, and last year's The New World. After Miami Vice, Colin Farrell will be seen in Pride and Glory with Edward Norton and Woody Allen's next film with Ewan McGregor.
