Lindsay Lohan can't take the heat. While filming Georgia Rule, Lohan was overcome and had to be rushed to a Los Angeles hospital, according to the program The Insider and reported online by CBS News. The verdict as to why Lindsay Lohan almost passed out? At the LA hospital, the singer/actress was treated for overheating and dehydration for several hours, given a Vitamin B-12 shot, and released. According to CBS News, Leslie Sloan Zelnick, the publicist to Lindsay Lohan, told The Insider that Lohan would return to the set of Georgia Rule tomorrow. It's no surprise that she was overcome by the heat considering that, on Tuesday, temperatures on the set of Georgia Rule reached 105 degrees. Lindsay Lohan was filming that day in the 105 degree heat for twelve hours, a situation that could have sent anyone to the hospital. Georgia Rule co-stars Jane Fonda and Felicity Huffman.

This isn't the first time that Lindsay Lohan has been rushed to the hospital. As reported by E Online, just this January, Lohan was rushed off to two separate hospitals on two separate occasions, the first time in London, after she cut herself on a broken teacup, and the second time after Lohan had an asthma attack in Miami. London, Miami, L.A. - Lohan's seen her share of hospitals in 2006. And last October, she was taken to the hospital when she crashed her car into a van trying to escape the prying eye of the paparazzi. And this isn't the first time a set has contributed to Lohan's health problems. A year and a half ago, Lindsay Lohan went to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A. when, according to E Online she became "overtired and working [her]self to death" on the set of Herbie: Fully Loaded.

Lindsay Lohan has been facing off against her own image as a party girl in recent months, telling Harper's Bazaar, "I'm in this career for the longevity of it, not just for doing everything too fast and then running out of steam."

Now, People Magazine today seemed to imply that some of those partying ways may have led to this week's Lindsay Lohan overheat on the set of Georgia Rule. The online version of the magazine quotes a friend of Lohan's as saying that the night before the hospitalization, Lohan was at the Chateau Marmont and then at a nightclub called Guy's. People quotes an observer at Guy's as saying, "She was definitely partying. She wasn't over the top, but having a great time."

Don't worry. Lohan's publicist, Sloan-Zelnick told People, "She is fine." and another source told the magazine that Lindsay Lohan is back at her hotel resting. And enjoying the air-conditioning and staying hydrated, no doubt.

Lohan, who's only 20 years old, shot to fame as a child actress in the Disney remakes The Parent Trap and Freaky Friday. But Lindsay Lohan's real break through role was as Cady in the 2004 hit Mean Girls. Since then she's been tabloid fodder and starred in Herbie: Fully Loaded, A Prairie Home Companion, and Just My Luck. Lindsay Lohan will next be seen in Emilio Estevez' Bobby and Chapter 27, in which Jared Leto will play Mark David Chapman. After Georgia Rule, which legendary comedy director Garry Marshall is helming, Lindsay Lohan will move to A Woman of No Importance with Sean Bean and Annette Bening.
