After announcing their marriage plans earlier this month , Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock have made it official by tying the knot aboard a yacht in Saint-Tropez on Saturday. As their union involves four weddings, that’s one down and three to go.
Even though they exchanged vows and a lot of their rocker friends and celebrities were in attendance, the marriage isn’t technically recognized by the Mayor’s office in Saint-Tropez. According to People , the law of the land is that couples in France are required to have civil weddings at the Mayor’s office in order to make them legal, so it looks like the nuptials aboard the yacht don’t count. A spokeswoman from the mayor’s office was quoted as saying, ”It was just a celebration.”
In terms of the ceremony and the way that Pam and Kid Rock were outfitted, guests in attendance described it as a true rock and roll wedding. Pam wore a white string bikini and Kid was wearing a white T-shirt and shorts. In a quote from Jimmy Choo owner, Tamara Mellon, she said, ”Kid Rock was a total rock star. He gave her a good kiss. Everybody was crying." Also according to Elton John’s husband, David Furnish: ”It was a real rock n' roll wedding.”, reports People .
In a related story, Pamela Anderson wasn’t very happy with the first set of paparazzi photos to be circulated around the web. As a result, she vented her frustration in her online diary. ”I was so happy to finally get here. But now I can't wait to get away from these paparazzi - I swear they just wait for the ugliest pictures to take.”
This marks the second time that Pamela Anderson has walked down the aisle. Her first time was with Motley Crue drummer, Tommy Lee in 1995, with whom she has two sons, Brandon (10) and Dylan (8). As for Kid Rock (Robert Richie), this is his first marriage. He also has a 16 year old son, Robert James Richie Jr. with his ex-girlfriend, Kelly South.
Pamela Anderson has become internationally famous through her work in television, appearing in such programs as, “Home Improvement”, “Baywatch”, and “V.I.P.” In addition to TV, she also starred in the feature film, “Barb Wire”, and she has been featured in magazines like, “Playboy”, “Stuff”, and “GQ”. Pam is also a spokeswoman for PETA, devoting much of her time to that cause, and has taken on the likes of the fur industry and “KFC”.
Kid Rock (Robert Richie) is a Detroit born rock singer who has enjoyed success with his albums, “Devil Without a Cause”, “The History of Rock”, “Cocky”, “Kid Rock”, and “Live Trucker”. He has also appeared on “C.S.I” as himself.
