Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock Get Married in Detroit
By Scott Ferguson
Monday, August 7, 2006
One engagement wasn't enough for Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock, why should they be limited to one wedding? According to People, Pamela Anderson's website, and the Baywatch/Playboy beauty's representative, Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock have been married again, this time in Detroit, Michigan. Kid Rock's real name is Robert Ritchie, which makes the following posting on Pamela Anderson's website make a little more sense, "It's official. Just left the courthouse!!!! Mr. and Mrs. Ritchie have left the building. Off to honeymoon in Detroit! Go Tigers!"
So, if Detroit was wedding location number two for
Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock, where would you guess
location number one for the hard-rock nuptials would
be? Last weekend, the duo walked down the aisle in Saint-Tropez,
quite a long way away from the Motor City. That was
an elaborate ceremony aboard a yacht, but, technically,
that wedding wasn't legal or binding, as Pamela Anderson
and Kid Rock didn't have a civil wedding at the mayor's
office, a requirement under French law. Guess what?
The Detroit wedding may not be legal either, as People
Magazine reports that a search of public records
has yielded no marriage license yet.
Hopefully, one of the four Pamela Anderson and Kid
Rock weddings will actually be legally binding. There
are two stops left on the "Pamela Rock Wedding Tour
'06" with the couple planning a wedding in Malibu and
Nashville before the marriage fun is done. Last month,
at a press conference, Pamela Anderson told reporters
"I'm going to get married a few times this month
to the same guy," she said. "We had to do Malibu, we've
got to do Detroit, and we've got to do Nashville."
This isn't the first time that Kid Rock and Pamela
Anderson have announced their happy engagement or flirted
with wedding bells. In 2002, after a year of dating,
Robert Ritchie aka Kid Rock asked for Pamela Anderson's
hand in marriage. A year later, the couple split up
and have been dating on and off since then. Last month,
on the heels of engagement confirmations to MTV
and Us Weekly, Pamela Anderson posted the following
on her web site, "Yes, I'm finally getting remarried.
It's been a whirlwind ... spontaneous, but well thought
through. Feels like I've been stuck in a time warp.
I've raised my kids alone in hope of a miracle. Well,
my miracle came and went. And came back and came back,
because he knew that I'd wake up one day and realize
that I was waiting for nothing. I'm moving on ... I
feel like I'm finally free ... I'm in love."
