Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, who plays Mr. Eko on the TV show Lost was arrested in Hawaii for disobeying an officer and driving without a license. He is the third star of the hit ABC show to be arrested for traffic violations in Hawaii.
There's something going on in Hawaii with the stars
of Lost and driving. Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje is the
latest cast member of Lost to be arrested for a traffic
related offense in Hawaii. According to People
Adewale, who plays the character, Mr. Eko on ABC's Lost
was arrested for driving without a license on Saturday.
The British actor was released six hours later after
paying $500 bail and was also given a court date for
September 26.
This is a minor traffic offence, compared to Michelle Rodriguez and Cynthia Watros' DUI charges
back in December. The good thing about this arrest,
as E Online points out, is that with Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje
being on the island of Oahu, fans got a little bit of
a hint that we will be in the show's third season. Also
since he wasn't arrested for drunk driving, hopfully
the writer's won't kill him off, like Rodriguez and
Waltros.
Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje was born in Nigeria and got
his start as a former male model. He has appeared in
several films and his most famous roles are Simon Adebisi
on the hit HBO TV series, "OZ" and Mr. Eko on "Lost".
His film credits include "Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls",
"Congo", "The Mummy Returns", "The Bourne Identity",
and "Get Rich ot Dye Tryin'".
