The rumors have been flying about Britney Spears. First, there were widely reported problems between Britney and husband Kevin Federline (or K-Fed) before his Las Vegas concert in support of his upcoming album Playing With Fire, which Britney did not attend. Now, the reports have come out that Britney Spears is pregnant with the couple's second child.

Us Magazine was the first to report the story as fat on their website. The article reports that "Britney Spears, 24, couldn't hide her pregnancy any longer when she showed up poolside at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas this weekend, sporting a red bikini and a serious bump. The singer is expecting her second child with husband Kevin Federline, 28, sources have confirmed to Us."

ABC News has posted a statement from Ken Baker, the editor of Us Magazine in which he said " She's expecting to have the baby in the fall, and I'm told that she wasn't planning on having baby No. 2 so fast, but she's pregnant. She's about to announce it." Ken Baker went on to say that "Up until a few months ago, Britney was saying she was ready to get back in shape, go out and tour, promote an album. But now, with another baby on the way, it looks like those plans are going to be put on hold and she's going to focus on being a mother yet again."

Britney had been spotted poolside at the Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas wearing a red bikini and sporting a new bulge in the tummy. Britney Spears was in Las Vegas to help support Kevin Federline and his promotion for his new album. Though, when his concert came around at the Pure nightclub in Caesar's Palace, Britney Spears was nowhere to be found. Rumors have circulated that K-Fed didn't want Spears around because he was scared she would steal the spotlight. According to an on-looker at the plush Nero restaurant in Las Vegas, "It was a full-blown war of words. It was a very bad night for Britney. Kevin didn't want Britney overshadowing him on the red carpet. Britney fled the restaurant and raced up to her suite alone, boycotting his performance," as quoted by the South African news site Tonight.

The issue of Britney's second pregnancy has people talking about Spears' ability as a mother. The big questions relate back to two separate incidents. In the first, Spears was spotted by paparazzi driving with her son, Sean Preston Federline, on her lap and not in a car seat. Spears would later apologize for the incident. Then, in early April, Sean Preston Federline fractured his skull after being dropped on his head by a nanny as the highchair he was sitting in collapsed (See Britney Spears, Kevin Federline Visited By Child Welfare). Britney Spears fired the nanny in question today.

Britney Spears and Kevin Federline were married on September 18th, 2004. They had their first child together, Sean Preston Federline, on September 14th, 2005. Kevin Federline brought two children of his own, 3-year-old Kori and 21-month-old Kaleb, from his relationship with Shar Jackson. Britney Spears is the best-selling female artists of the 2000s, having sold 85 million albums. Her first two albums Baby, One More Time and Oops! I Did It Again were both diamond-selling albums, meaning they sold more than 10 million copies in the United States. Britney's albums include Baby, One More Time, Oops! I Did It Again, Britney, In The Zone, Greatest Hits: My Prerogative and has appeared in movies such as The New Mickey Mouse Club, Crossroads and In The Pink.
