© 2007 World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. All Rights ReservedWhether you love him or hate him, John Cena has revitalized the WWE after a few years without a bonafide star on the same level as The Rock or Hulk Hogan. As fans already know, Cena is the perfect entertainer to take wrestling to a whole new level and introduce the spectacle to a new generation of fans. One of the advantages that Cena has over other wrestlers is that he’s a multi-faceted showman, with a sports background, a persona as a rapper, and a new image as an actor in his personal arsenal. John Cena is 100% entertainment. To highlight this incredibly fit, ripped, hilarious and intelligent specimen, WWE has released a retrospective of John Cena’s career just in time for the holiday blitz called John Cena: My Life, which hits store shelves on November 13.

Nowadays every WWE fan has their own collection of wrestling DVDs. Why should a wrestling fan pick up My Life? Aside from the fact that the question is a huge no-brainer, John Cena: My Life is jam-packed with a whopping nine hours of entertainment value. The best part of the DVD is that it centers on John Cena’s rise to fame and not just Cena’s unbelievable matches. Sure, the decision not to include John Cena’s battle for the U.S. title is somewhat of a letdown, but all of the included material unquestionably makes up for the absent match and a few other ring-tussles that some fans might complain about. Match highlights to watch for include Cena’s PPV debut against Chris Jericho from Vengeance '02, the bloody “I Quit” match vs. JBL from Judgment Day '05, and the hardcore, pressure-cooker One Night Stand match against RVD.

Aside from the awesome nine-hour runtime of the three-disc set, the rest of John Cena: My Life features a ton of extra material. The serious John Cena fan is in for a huge treat in terms of bonuses, as the set serves up everything imaginable about the wrestling phenom, from Cena’s military coin collection and WWE promo spots to interviews with friends, family, fellow wrestlers, and the villainous Vince McMahon. If that’s not enough to make you rip your shirt off and pose down in front of your friends (or the mirror), the two full hours of Cena’s hilarious segments called “Five Questions With the Champ” is well worth the price tag on the DVD.

Even though the wrestling segments offer a ton of action and the stories within the My Life feature serve up fascinating insight into the life of wrestling’s biggest star, the “Five Questions” are better than most extras on higher-profile DVDs. Who knew that John Cena really wanted to endorse a home enema kit? The simple truth is: John Cena is one of the coolest guys around and an incredible athlete to boot. If you’re a diehard wrestling fan, definitely put this one on your Christmas list. On second thought, John Cena: My Life is the perfect excuse to buy yourself an early Christmas gift in November.
