Sign the Jamie Oliver Food Revolution Petition

7 years ago by Reg Seeton

Jamie Olver is keeping his Food Revolution campaign alive to ensure that kids get better food in schools in order to combat childhood obesity.

By signing the petition at Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution, people can help fight childhood obesity with the simple message, “I support the Food Revolution. Kids need better food at school and better health prospects. We need to keep cooking skills alive.”

As the official Jamie Oliver campaign reveals, the statistics surrounding obesity from The Lancet and the World Health Organization (WHO) are sobering and very real:

  • Currently obesity in the US costs $10,273,973 per hour. By 2030 obesity is predicted to cost $15,753,425 per hour.
  • Globally, obesity related illnesses count for as many deaths in young and middle aged adults as HIV/AIDS.
  • Diet related diseases are two of the top 5 causes of premature death globally

To date, such celebrities as Jennifer Aniston, Eva Longoria, Kim Kardashian, Diddy, Ryan Seacrest, Ellen DeGeneres and others have pledged their support to help Jamie Oliver in his Food Revolution.
