Although four new films debuted this weekend, House at the End of the Street and End of Watch tied for first place with nearly $13 million in ticket sales.

Behind House at the End of the Street, starring Jennifer Lawrence of The Hunger Games, and the End of Watch with Jake Gyllenhal, Clint Eastwood’s Trouble with the Curve came in a close third with $12.7 million.

Although positively touted prior to release, Dredd 3D earned a dismal $6.3 million to push it out of the Top 5.

Paul Thomas Anderson’s The Master took in $5 million after expanding into wider release and after strong reviews and good word-of-mouth.

Two holdovers from last week, the 3D re-release of Finding Nemo and Resident Evil: Retribution took in $9.4 million and $6.7 million respectively.
