The first preview for Mockingbird Lane was released by NBC on Friday following news that the planned Munsters reboot would be a Halloween special instead of a full blown series.
Although the Bryan Fuller (Pushing Daisies) created Mockingbird Lane was originally intended to be a regular series on NBC to reboot The Munsters for a new generation, the network decided that it would only air as a special for Halloween.
Starring Jerry O’Connell as Herman Munster, Portia de Rossi as Herman’s wife Lily, Eddie Izzard as Grandpa Munster, Mason Cook as little Eddie and Charity Wakefield cousin as Marilyn, Mockingbird Lane will air as a one-hor special on October 26.
In the newly released preview, the Munster family moves into the neighborhood as Herman comes alive thanks to Grandpa. What will the neighbors think of the Munster family? As Eddie Izzard says in the preview for Mockingbird Lane, the neighbors should be more concerned with what Grandpa thinks.
