The cast of Smash returns to the NBC airwaves for a second season of musical drama and stage competition in a two-hour premiere Tuesday, February 5.

Ahead of Tuesday night’s Season 2 premiere, the cast of Smash assembled to preview what it was like working with guest stars like Jennifer Hudson and Liza Minnelli, and the new developments on the show. Also in the newly released interviews, Smash fans get a sneak peek at some of the scenes from Season 2.

NBCUDirect’s Janine Brady talks to Katharine McPhee about Karen’s new beginning before Megan Hilty gives an update on Ivy and both Jack Davenport and Christan Borle share stories of their characters in the upcoming season. During the interview, Smash fans get a first look at Jennifer Hudson who’s introduced to McPhee’s Karen.

As the interviews continue, Smash co-star Angelica Huston reveals the amount of drinks she throws this season while Leslie Odom Jr., Krysta Rodriguez also discuss working with Jennifer Hudson. As Rodriguez talks about the guest stars, we also get a look at the legendary Liza Minnelli as she meets Megan Hilty on set.
