“Like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives.” NBC announced the renewal of drama “Days of our Lives” for its 52nd season continuing to deliver more tales from Salem to its loyal audience. Because of the millions of eager viewers drawn to their televisions for six decades, “Days of our Lives” will broadcast a record setting 52nd season.
President, NBC Entertainment, Jennifer Salke said, “We feel so privileged to be able to continue the remarkable legacy of ‘Days of our Lives,’” she added, “We thank Ken Corday and his team for their incredible accomplishments and look forward to all the stories from Salem that will continue to unfold.”
“‘Days of our Lives,’ which aired its 13,000th episode in January, remains a television institution. The show first premiered as a half-hour drama in 1965 and expanded to an hour 10 years later,” according to the NBC press release.
The show remains a daytime favorite among fans and is currently airing its 51st season nationally on NBC and in more than 25 countries.
