ABC announced the return of the groundbreaking family comedy series, “Roseanne.” Set to air in 2018, the eight-episode reboot will feature the original cast headed by Roseanne Barr (Roseanne), John Goodman (Dan), Sara Gilbert (Darlene), Laurie Metcalf (Jackie), Michael Fishman (D.J.) and Lecy Goranson (Becky). Sarah Chalke, who played the character Becky in later seasons, will also appear in another role.
Channing Dungey, president, ABC Entertainment made the announcement and stated in an ABC press release, “The Conners’ joys and struggles are as relevant – and hilarious – today as they were then, and there’s really no one better to comment on our modern America than Roseanne.”
The throwback reboots are really the hottest trend in entertainment right now. “Fuller House” really paved the way with its reboot on Netflix, and NBC also just announced the reboot of “Will & Grace” with a new season as well. It looks like all of our DVRs will be filled with nostalgia in the near future!
