Superstar Julia Louis-Dreyfus won the Emmy for Lead Actress in a Comedy for her work on “Veep” setting a record with 6 consecutive wins. This is the stars 8th Emmy Award, and her 6th win for her character Selina Meyer on the hit series “Veep.”

While accepting her award, Dreyfus gave some details about the final season of the show by saying, “We have a great final season that we’re about to start filming, with a lot of surprises that our fabulous writers have cooked up,” she revealed, “We did have a whole storyline about an impeachment, but we abandoned that because we were worried that someone else might get to it first.”
