In a previous announcement, CMT confirmed season 6 of “Nashville” will be its final season and is set to premiere on January 4.

“With New Year’s Eve looming, Deacon (Charles Esten) looks to distract himself from his own loneliness, but falls short despite the best efforts of people around him. After an onstage meltdown, Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) seeks to rid herself of self-doubt and the burden of unforgiving country music fans from an unlikely source,” says a CMT press release.

In the upcoming season, Gunnar and Scarlett struggle to find their voices as solo artists in the aftermath of their professional and personal split. Maddie heads to LA to perform at a benefit and meets music’s newest and hottest young star, Jonah Ford. Will sparks fly for the young musicians?

In addition to Hayden Panettiere and Charles Esten, the “Nashville” cast also stars Sam Palladio, Clare Bowen, Lennon Stella, Chris Carmack, Cameron Scoggins, and Nic Luken. “Nashville” ranks as CMT’s highest-rated and most-watch show in the network’s history.

Don’t miss the final season when Season 6 of “Nashville” premieres on Thursday, January 4 at 9 pm ET on CMT.
