HBO’s ‘Ballers’ and ‘Insecure’ Return August 12

HBO announced the two hit hit comedy series, “Baller” and “Insecure” will premiere new seasons back-to-back on August 12.

“Ballers” starring Dwayne Johnson returns for its fourth season and follows Johnson’s character Spencer Strasmore, a former football superstar who has reinvented himself as a financial manager, and the lives of other former and current football players. “This season, Spencer and Joe (Rob Corddry) take their skills to Los Angeles as they look to expand their roster and horizons in the world of action sports,” says HBO’s press release.

The cast of “Ballers” also stars John David Washington, Omar Benson Miller, Donovan Carter, Troy Garity, London Brown, Jazmyn Simon and Brittany S. Hall.

“Insecure” starring Issa Rae and Yvonne Orji, will premiere season 3. “The show follows the friendship of two black women as they deal with their own real-life flaws while attempting to navigate different worlds and cope with an endless series of uncomfortable everyday experiences,” according to the press release.

Other “Insecure” series regulars include Jay Ellis, Lisa Joyce, Y’lan Noel, Natasha Rothwell and Amanda Seales.
